I’m Nic, a mother of three living on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.
When I was a young adult, I lost my little brother. He was only three years old. At the time, I didn't understand how to process such a profound loss, and there was no one close to me who could help me make sense of what I was experiencing. I felt overwhelmed, lost, and many things around me lost their meaning. I was left trying to understand life, death, and everything in between, often feeling helpless and hopeless.
As I continued through life, I experienced further losses and soon realised that grief is something we all encounter. It is part of the human experience. While every journey is unique, none of us are truly alone in this.
Along the way, I discovered mindfulness, meditation, ritual and gratitude. These practices gently transformed my life, and began to enable me to find my own meaning. They helped me strengthen my focus, build emotional resilience, and develop the inner awareness to find clarity and peace, even during difficult times. Today, these practices are as essential to my wellbeing as nourishing food, movement, and rest. They are not something I turn to only in times of crisis—they are the foundation that supports how I live each day.
These experiences have shaped the work I now share with others.
I am passionate about helping people live with greater awareness, resilience, and meaning, to truly live a life well. For me , part of this also includes creating safe, compassionate spaces to talk openly about grief, dying, death, and the end of life. These are conversations many of us avoid, yet they have the power to bring connection, understanding, and healing. I offer a calm and supportive presence to walk alongside others, to navigate end of life supports and services, and discuss some of the things that we all "put off until another day". I believe no one should have to face these experiences in isolation.
It truly takes a village. When we create space to share our stories, support one another, and face life's most challenging moments together, we discover the strength, compassion, and connection that have been there all along.
My hope is that every person feels seen, heard, supported, and empowered to navigate their own journey with courage, kindness, and grace.
